Monday, 3 October 2022, His Excellence, Mr. Kent D. Logsdon, Ambassador of the USA in the Republic of Moldova, made an introduction visit to the Residence of the Metropolis of Moldova.
During the discussion, Mr. Kent D. Logsdon outlined the priorities of his mandate: security and protection strategies of the Republic of Moldova, promotion of democracy, including, religious freedom.
His Eminence Vladimir, Metropolitan of Chisinau and all Moldova, appreciated the good relations between the Republic of Moldova and the United States of America. Metropolitan Vladimir thanked the high guest for the visit, mentioning: “For us, democracy is based, first of all, on the evangelical values of human dignity, social justice, and community solidarity at the national and international level”.
In this context, His Eminence mentioned that the priority of the mission of the Orthodox Church in Moldova is to intensify the relations between the spiritual and liturgical life and social and charity work. In this sense, Metropolitan Vladimir mentioned that migration is a major problem currently faced by numerous Moldovan families.
As mentioned during the visit, it is important for both sides to get to know each other better, through the implementation of social projects.
