  • The Second Sunday after Pentecost: Metropolitan Vladimir officiates Divine Liturgy in the Parish of All Saints who shone in Romanian lands

4 July 2021, on the Second Sunday after Pentecost, Metropolitan Vladimir of Chisinau and all Moldova visited the Parish of all Romanian Saints in Chisinau (Botanica sector) to share the joy of the parish’s Patron Feast.

Today, more than ever, Christ calls us to repentance, calls us to the Church, urges us to make good acts that bring the joy of salvation. Let each of us open our hearts to God, to the Gospel, to a higher Christian living, in purity, in holiness. (Archimandrite Cleopa Ilie).

Metropolitan Vladimir was assisted at the Divine Liturgy by the metropolitan secretary, archpriest Vadim Cheibas, the spiritual administrator of the monastery of Ciuflea, archimandrite Nicolae Rosca, the rector of the parish, archpriest Corneliu Dobrogeanu, and other clerics.

During the Liturgy, Metropolitan Vladimir awarded a high church distinction to archpriest Corneliu Dobrogeanu – the right to officiate the Divine Liturgy with the Holy Doors open till the Lord’s Prayer – in sign of high appreciation of the efforts in the running of the parish activity. At the same time, priest Foca Timus, the rector of the Nativit of the Theotokos Parish in the community of Talmaza, Stefan Voda, was awarded the right of wearing Jewelled Pectoral Cross.

This day was very special for two clerics called to the church service: Metropolitan Vladimir ordained deacon Victor Babachin into priesthood, with appointment to the parish of the Nativity of the Theotokos in Colonita, Chisinau, while Iov Timus received diaconal ordination with appointment to the parish of St. Demetrius in the community of Plop-Stiubei, Causeni.

After the Divine Service, the arch-pastor congratulated the liturgical community on their Patron Feast, and offered small gifts – icons and prayer books in the memory of the day.

After the dismissal prayers, Metropolitan Vladimir conducted the Panichida service in commemoration of archpriest Valeriu Margineanu, the first rector of the parish.
