On Sunday, August 18, 2024, the First Hierarch of the Orthodox Church of Moldova, His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir, celebrated 72 years of earthly life. On this occasion, the staff of the Metropolitan Administration join all the congratulations coming from the ministers and lay people of the Metropolis of Moldova with the following greetings:
Your Eminence,
Father Metropolitan Vladimir,
Those who serve the Church are chosen by God. You were also chosen, Your Eminence, as Holy Scripture says, “from the womb”, and this choice has been proven throughout your life.
Today, together with the fullness of the Orthodox Church of Moldova and Her friends, we say with joy and gratitude, “Many many and blessed years to you, Your Eminence, and Glory be to God for having endowed us with such an Archpastor!”
This date is an important one for the entire Metropolis of Chisinau and All Moldova, because you are the personality who, through steadfastness, devotion and determination, stand at the head of the well-believing people of the Country, bearing with dignity the flame of our Holy Orthodox Church above all the troubles and obstacles that come in your way.
Along with your liturgical life, with the building of places of worship, with your missionary and cultural activity, you have always sought to be at the side of the elderly who are sick, lonely and helpless.
Thus, on this anniversary, with even more perseverance we pray to the Almighty Lord to keep you healthy and worthy at the helm of the Righteous and Most Holy Church so that from now on with unwavering determination and trust in the Lord to lead the ship safely to the shore of salvation.
We thank you for all the good support and encouragement that you offer us with paternal love and care.
May you live many years in peace, tranquility, safe from dangers to the Glory of God and in the continuation of the work of the Archpastoral care of our people.
Many happy and blessed years Your Eminence!
With filial love and deep respect
