Thursday, 26th December, 2019, Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and all Russia presided the last in the year 2019 session of the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church, held in the Patriarchal and Synodal Residence at the St. Daniel’s Monastery in Moscow.
Metropolitan Vladimir of Chisinau and all Moldova participated in the session, as permanent member of the Holy Synod.
Patriarch Kirill presented an overview of the most important aspects of the church life that occurred in the previous trimester.
Namely, the Patriarch reported on the canonical visits made in the named period, relations with the sister-churches, cultural and spiritual activities, and regretful situation related to the decision of the Patriarchy of Alexandria to recognize the non-canonical ecclesiastic structure in Ukraine.
