17 November, 2019, on the 22nd Sunday after Pentecost, Metropolitan Vladimir of Chisinau and all Moldova celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Nativity of the Lord Cathedral of Chisinau.
The arch-pastor was assisted at the service by archpriest Vadim Cheibas, Cathedral Dean and the clergy of the holy shrine.
The Gospel Reading of this Sunday (Luke 8: 41-56) speaks about the resurrection of the daughter of Jairus and the healing of a woman who had had a flow of blood for 12 years. Such stories underline that Christ is the Master of life and death and anticipate the Lord’s resurrection from the dead.
The miracle of the rising of Jairus’ daughter reassures us that God loves us and His love is expressed in His gifts to the humanity. Our natural response to it should be sharing this love with the people around us.
