The Sunday of the Pentecost, or the Descent of the Holy Spirit, or the Holy Trinity Sunday, one of the most important Christian feasts that marks the foundation of Christ’s Church was celebrated with utmost piety and spiritual joy at the Nativity of the Lord Cathedral, where His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir, assisted by the cathedral clergy, celebrated the Divine Liturgy.
This special spiritual and historical event through which All-Good God willed to found the Divine and human institution uniting humanity in the hope of salvation and eternal life, gathered numerous worshipers thirsty of giving glory to Christ and thank Him for His endless mercy.
After the Liturgy the church-goers listened to an inspiring and edifying sermon, after which Metropolitan Vladimir celebrated a Thanks-Giving Te-Deum Service, followed by the Vespers where the special prayers with kneeling and prostrations were uttered, during which the Arch-pastor and the worshipers united their prayers and thoughts to give glory to All-Mighty God.
It should be mentioned that the Metropolitan shared the spiritual joy of the day with Bishop Anatolie of Cahul and Comrat, praying together at the Pentecost service.
