Tuesday, 31st October 2017, on the commemoration day of the Holy Apostle Luke, the Arch-pastor of the Orthodox Church of Moldova, H.E. Metropolitan Vladimir, was greeted with much love and eagerness by the parishioners of Saratenii Vechi community, Telenesti region. Thus, at the entrance into the church court-yard, Metropolitan Vladimir was welcomed by the parish rector, Archpriest Marian Boldescu and the parishioners, to join the Arch-pastor in the Divine Liturgy.
The service started with the consecration of the church, after which father Marian, who is also Dean of Telenesti church circumscription, was awarded high church distinction, the 3rd degree Church Merit Order, in sign of the Arch-pastor’s appreciation of assiduous work and ministry for the cause of faith in the entrusted church circumscription.
During the Divine Liturgy, His Eminence Vladimir ordained graduate of Suceava Theological Seminary, Irinarh Galimov, into the dignity of deacon, wishing the young servant of the Holy Altar spiritual strength and wisdom in the church ministry.
After the thanks-giving prayers, the Metropolitan and the concelebrating priests consecrated and blessed the parish social canteen “Nika” in the church premises.
In the guidance message after the Divine Service, Metropolitan Vladimir expressed high appreciation of the father rector’s efforts in the renovation of the church, as well as the love and devotion of the predecessors, who contributed to the building of this beautiful church 135 years ago.
Father Marian thanked His Eminence for high appreciation and honour shown to the clergy and parishioners of Telenesti, united in prayer at the Divine Liturgy, and ensured the hierarch of further dedication to Christian ministry.
In the end of the celebration, the Metropolitan congratulated all parishioners on this beautiful event, thanking them for the warm greeting, and advising them to remain strong in faith and devoted to the Orthodox Church.
