  • The archpastor of the Orthodox Church of Moldova participated in the meeting of the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church

    Tuesday, 28th November, 2017, Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and all Russia presided the session of the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church in the Assembly Chamber of the Holy Synod of the Patriarchal and Synodal Residence in the St. Daniel’s Monastery in Moscow.

    The session was called to prepare the works of the Archbishops Synod and the inauguration of the celebrations dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the reestablishment of Patriarchy and enthronement of Holy Patriarch Tikhon in 1918.

    Greeting the Synod members, Patriarch Kirill presented the day’s agenda:

    Today’s session is held in the eve of the Archbishops Synod, and that is why, significant part of the agenda will be dedicated to preparing the works of the Synod. I will introduce all documents that have been prepared and that we need to analysed before tomorrow’s Synod session, said Patriarch Kirill, according to official communication of the Moscow’s Patriarchate’s Press Service.

    Metropolitan Vladimir of Chisinau and all Moldova participated in the Synod session as permanent member of the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church.
