Saturday, 24 September 2022, on the Feast-Day of blessed Agafia of Cuselauca, the first hierarch of the Orthodox Church of Moldova, Metropolitan Vladimir, conducted the Divine Liturgy in the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in Tiraspol.
Archbishop Sava of Tiraspol and Dubasari, Archbishop Marchel of Balti and Falesti, Archimandrite Stephan (Trichkov), guest from Bulgaria, Archimandrite Filaret (Cuzmin), superior monk of Capriana Monastery, Archimandrite Paisie (Cecan), superior monk of Noul Neamt Monastery in Chitcani, archpriest Ioan Calmyk, secretary of Tiraspol and Dubasari Diocese, Archimandrite Ioan (Danilescu), secretary of Archbishop Sava, and a group of priests and deacons, concelebrated to Metropolitan Vladimir during the service.
Liturgical responses were provided by the arch-pastoral choir of Tiraspol and Dubasari Diocese.
During the Small Entrance of the Liturgy, Metropolitan Vladimir rewarded priest Ioan Jerep, cleric of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross Church, with the right of wearing pectoral cross embellished with jewels.
After the service, a Litany with prayers to Reverend Paisy Velichkovsky was uttered, on the 300th anniversary of the birth of this great saint of the Orthodox Church.
Archbishop Sava thanked His Eminence Vladimir for mutual prayers during the service.
Metropolitan Vladimir offered icons of St. Paisy to all church-goers present at the service.
