Sunday, 4 September 2022, His Eminence Vladimir, Metropolitan of Chisinau and all Moldova, officiated the Divine Liturgy in the church of the Transfiguration of the Lord in Chisinau.
The hierarch’s visit was occasioned by the 69th anniversary of the parish rector, archpriest Ioan Plamadeala.
Praying together with Metropolitan Vladimir during the Liturgy were archpriest Zosima Toia, dean of the Third Church Circumscription of Chisinau, archpriest Valeriu Potoroaca, Chairman of the Church Court, archpriest Victor Tofan, rector of the Nativity of the Mother of God parish in Colonita, Chisinau, and, and other clergy.
During the Small Entrance, Metropolitan Vladimir awarded a high distinction to archpriest Ioan Plamadeala, in sign of high appreciation of pastoral efforts and congratulation on the anniversary.
The arch-pastor then officiated diaconal ordination of Andrian Chirtoaca, second year Theology student.
After the Liturgy, Thanks-giving Te-Deum Laudamus service was officiated, giving glory to the Lord and thanking for utmost mercy and care.
The metropolitan awarded church distinctions to the benefactors of the Transfiguration Church. His Eminence addressed a message of congratulation to father Ioan, wishing him long and blessed life in the service of the Lord and His Church.
