Friday, 22 June 2018, on the commemoration day of Blessed Agafia of Cuselauca, the Arch-pastor of the Orthodox Church of Moldova, His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir, celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Holy Monastery of the Dormition of the Theotokos in the community of Cuselauca, Soldanesti region.
The feast started early in the morning, when the shrine with the holy relics of Blessed Agafia was brought in front of the church, and the Matins service was officiated, followed by Divine Liturgy.
Concelebrating to the metropolitan was Vicar Bishop Ioan of Soroca. The hierarchs were assisted at the Divine Liturgy by Metropolitan Secretary, Archpriest Vadim Cheibas, and numerous priests and deacons, who prayed in unison with thousands of pilgrims gathered at the shrine with the relics of Blessed Agafia.
President Igor Dodon with the first lady and representatives of local public authorities also prayed with the liturgical community.
During the Small Entrance, the Nun Superior of the Monastery, Hegumeness Vera (Spinei) was distinguished by Metropolitan Vladimir with the church order “Venerable Paraskeva”, in sign of appreciation of the efforts in efficient administration of the monastic settlement in Cuselauca.
