  • Patron’s Feast in the parish of the Miracle of Archangel Michael, in the village of Budesti, Chisinau municipality

    The Orthodox Church celebrates on 6 /19 September the feast of the Miracle of the Archangel Michael in Colossae. Tuesday, 19 September was a very special day for the inhabitants and guests of Budesti village in Chisinau Municipality, who gathered in their parish church to celebrate the community’s Patron Feast.

    The Divine Liturgy was celebrated by His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir of Chisinau and Moldova, assisted by archpriest Vadim Cheibas, Metropolitan Secretary, archpriest Zosima Toia, archpriest Iurie Zagnat, deans of Chisinau circumscriptions, archpriest Vladimir Plamadeala, parish rector, and numerous priests.

    In sign of the Archpastor’s appreciation of assiduous ministry for the glory of Christ and prosperity of Orthodoxy, the parish rector, Fr. Vladimir Plamadeala, was granted the right of celebrating the Divine Liturgy with the Great Doors open till the Lord’ prayer “Our Father who art in Heaven”.

    This service was also very special for deacon Veaceslav Leahu, who was ordained priest and appointed to ministry in the parish of the Nativity of the Theotokos in Stauceni, Chisinau.

    After the Liturgy and thanks-giving prayers, the praying community engaged in a Gospel-Reading procession around the church, and then Metropolitan Vladimir addressed a congratulation message to the parish rector and entire community. The Arch-pastor expressed high appreciation to the mayor of Budesti, Mrs. Nina Costiuc, and awarded her a church distinction – the second degree church Order of Blessed Agafia.

    Community events followed, the guests assisting at the “Golden Autumn” exposition in the Child and Youth Community Centre of Budesti.
