16 May 2021, on the Sunday of Myrrh-Bearing Women, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and all Russia, celebrated the Divine Liturgy in Christ the Saviour patriarchal Cathedral in Moscow.

The liturgical hymns were interpreted by the Christ the Saviour patriarchal Cathedral’s Choir directed by I.B. Tolkachov.

During the Small Entrance, Patriarch Kirill advanced H.E. Theognost, Archbishop of Kashir, into the dignity of Metropolitan, while H.G. Anatoly, Bishop of Cahul and Comrat, H.G. Petru, Bishop of Ungheni and Nisporeni, H.G. Markel, Bishop of Balti and Falesti, H.G. Nicodim, Bishop of Edinet and Briceni, were advanced into the dignity of Archbishop.
During the Great Litany, prayers for the overcoming of the coronavirus pandemic, for the healing of those in disease, and for the doctors, were uttered.
The pastoral guidance after the Gospel Reading on the Sunday of the Myrrh-Bearing Women was delivered, with the blessing of Patriarch Kirill, by Hieromonk Onysim (Bamblevski), chairman of the Synodal Sector of Religious Education (Moscow Diocese).
After the Divine Service, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill addressed arch-pastoral message to the liturgical community.
