On the feast day of St. Paraskeva, Friday, October 27, 2023, His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir celebrated the Holy and Divine Liturgy at the Nativity of the Lord Metropolitan Cathedral in Chisinau.
The Arch-pastor was joined by His Grace Filaret, Bishop of Capriana, Vicar of the Diocese of Chisinau, Protopriest Vadim Cheibaș, Metropolitan Secretary, and the choir of priests and deacons present at the Service.
During the divine Liturgy, His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir officiated at two ordinations: deacon Veaceslav Bumbac was ordained as a priest for Chisinau District Deanery, Sector I, and subdeacon Victor Badlac was ordained deacon for the Metropolitan Cathedral.
With the blessing of Metropolitan Vladimir, the homily was delivered by Protopriest Vadim Cheibaș, Metropolitan secretary and Cathedral Dean. Fr. Vadim spoke of the example of Saint Paraskeva “celebrated as a model of Christian life in a society that is becoming increasingly desacralised”.
Christians who had prepared themselves properly and received a dispensation from the confessor, communed with the Holy Body and Blood of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
