The first hierarch of the Orthodox Church of Moldova, His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir, participated on Tuesday, 16 May 2023, in the session of Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church, held in St. Daniil Monastery in Moscow.
Inaugurating the session, Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and all Russia greeted the participants and announced the agenda.
Patriarch Kirill announced the participants about two important events in the life of the Russian Orthodox Church and entire Orthodoxy. Russian state authorities returned into the property of the Church two essential objects of worship previously held in the Hermitage: the Andrei Rublyov’s Icon of Holy Trinity (15th c) and the shrine of St. Alexander Nevsky.
