His Eminence Vladimir, Metropolitan of Chisinau and all Moldova, officiated the Divine Liturgy in the Nativity of the Lord Cathedral in Chisinau on the 24th Sunday after Pentecost.
The arch-pastor was assisted at the service by archpriest Vadim Cheibas, metropolitan secretary and Cathedral dean, and other clergy of the holy place.
The liturgical community uttered thanks-giving prayers to God, glorifying the Creator for all mercy and care in such difficult times, when people prefer to live unfollowing the Lord’s will and advices. The church-goers prayed to our Lord Christ for peace and protection, and for strengthening in all good acts.
The Gospel Reading presented the parable of the merciful Samaritan, showing an example of care, mercy, and acts of faith.
After the Lord’s prayer, numerous church-goers communed with the Holy Sacraments.
The liturgical responses were offered by the Cathedral Choir directed by Angela Angheni.
With the blessing of the hierarch, archpriest Vadim Cheibas delivered a message of pastoral guidance, giving advice to the faithful about the coming Nativity Fast.
