  • Metropolitan Vladimir consecrated the Holy Trinity Church in Baroncea, Drochia

10 July 2022, on the Fourth Sunday after Pentecost, His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir of Chisinau and all Moldova prayed together with the parishioners of Holy Trinity Church in Baroncea, Drochia.

Prior to the Divine Liturgy, the metropolitan officiated the church consecration service, assisted by archpriest Pavel Vuluta, Dean of Drochia church circumscription, Hieromonk Gheorghe (Croitor), parish rector, and numerous priests and deacons.

During the Small Entrance of the Liturgy, Metropolitan Vladimir conferred a church distinction to hieromonk Gheorghe (Croitoru) – the right of officiating the Divine Liturgy with the Holy Doors open till the Lord’s Prayer – in sign of high appreciation of missionary and administrative activity in the parish. Hieromonk Gheorge was also promoted into the dignity of Archimandrite, while a number of clerics of Drochia deanery received arch-pastor’s decorations and rewords.

After the service, the liturgical community followed Metropolitan Vladimir in a procession around the church, with Gospel readings and liturgical hymns singing.

A Thanks-giving service was officiated after the Liturgy, then Metropolitan Vladimir awarded church distinctions to the parish founders and ctitors, and offered spiritual gifts to all participants at the service.

In the arch-pastoral message after the Liturgy, Metropolitan Vladimir congratulated the parish rector and the church-goers on finishing a significant part of church embellishment, wishing them strength and God’s blessings in continuing prosperous parish activity.

In his turn, archimandrite Gheorghe (Croitoru) thanked the arch-pastor for the Divine Liturgy and pastoral guidance, and expressed readiness to continue pastoral activity to the glory of God and for the benefit of the faithful flock.
