Monday, 22 June 2020, on the Feast of Blessed Agafia of Cuselauca, Metropolitan Vladimir of Chisinau and all Moldova celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Dormition of the Theotokos Monastery in Cuselauca, Soldanesti.
The celebration started on the eve of the Feast, with the Vigil service, and continued this morning with the placing of the holy relics of St. Agafia in front of the monastery’s central church. The Matins service was officiated, followed by the Divine Liturgy.
Concelebrating to Metropolitan Vladimir were vicar bishops, Their Graces Ioan of Soroca and Siluan of Orhei. The arch-pastors were assisted by a synaxis of priests and deacons.
The commemoration of Blessed Agafia is a spiritual holiday expressing the joy of the Orthodox people of Moldova, who pray with gratefulness to St. Agafia and other saints who shown in our lands, asking them for heavenly intercession for our country and people.
