Monday, 15 August 2022, assembly of district deans of Chisinau Diocese and heads of Synodal Sectors of the Metropolis of Moldova was held in the Synodal Chamber at the Metropolitan Residence.
The session was chaired by His Eminence Vladimir, Metropolitan of Chisinau and all Moldova.
Participating at the event were His Grace Ioan, Bishop of Soroca and Metropolitan Vicar – Chairman of the Synodal Sector of Institutional Communication and Mass-Media Relations, His Grace Siluan, Bishop of Orhei and Metropolitan Vicar – Chairman of the Synodal Sector of Monasteries and Monastic Life, Mitred Archpriest Vadim Cheibas, Metropolitan Secretary and Dean of the First Church Circumscription of Chisinau, District Deans of Chisinau Diocese, and Heads of Synodal Sectors of the Metropolis.
The members of the meeting discussed the agenda of Metropolitan Vladimir’s anniversary week. On Thursday, 18 August, Divine Liturgy is planned to be officiated in the Nativity of the Lord Cathedral in Chisinau, marking the 70th anniversary of His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir. Members of the Synod of the Orthodox Church of Moldova, district deans, superior monks and nuns of monasteries, and other clergy are expected to participate in the anniversary Liturgy. On Friday 19 August, on the Feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord, Metropolitan Vladimir is to celebrate the Divine Liturgy in the Metropolitan Cathedral.
Closing the session, Metropolitan Vladimir thanked the participating clergy for the fruitful missionary and pastoral activity and devoted ministry in their parishes. The hierarch offered to each participant a Pectoral Cross embellished with jewels, containing anniversary inscription on the reverse side, and a volume entitled “Thoughts about Metropolitan Vladimir”, on His Eminence’s 70th anniversary.
