Sunday, 28 August 2022, on the Feast of the Dormition of the Mother of God (Assumption of our Lady), His Eminence Vladimir, Metropolitan of Chisinau and all Moldova, officiated the Divine Liturgy in the church of Kazan Icon of the Mother of God in Caragas community, Slobozia region.
Before the Liturgy, the diocesan Archbishop Savva of Tiraspol and Dubasari officiated the consecration the holy altar.
Praying together with Metropolitan Vladimir during the Liturgy were His Eminence Savva, Archbishop of Tiraspol and Dubasari, His Eminence Anatoly, Archbishop of Cahul and Comrat, Archimandrite Ioan (Danilescu), secretary of His Eminence Savva, archpriest Andrei Danilescu, dean of Slobozia church circumscription, archimandrite Victor (Saiapin), dean of Ribnita church circumscription, archpriest Petru Uncu, parish rector, and other clergy.
After the Liturgy, the praying community participation in a Cross-bearing procession from the parish church of Kazan Icon of the Mother of God to the Chapel of All Those in Sorrow situated in the centre of the village.
Metropolitan Vladimir officiated the consecration of the recently finished painting of the chapel and participated in the ceremony of inauguration of a commemorative postal stamp with the image of the chapel.
Finally, the parish rector, mitred archpriest Petru Uncu, thanked the hierarchs for the arch-pastoral service and participation in the celebration in Caragas village.
