  • His Eminence Vladimir: “If Church did not exist, the world would not stay.”

    Friday, 02 August 2019, on the Feast of Holy Prophet Elias, His Eminence Vladimir, Metropolitan of Chisinau and all Moldova, officiated the service of renovation of the Church of Holy Archangel Michael in Zubresti community, Straseni region.

    The hierarch was greeted early morning by the parish rector, father Eugen Burlac and his brother, metropolitan Protodeacon Constantin Burlac.

    Assisted by numerous priests and deacons, including archpriest Vadim Cheibas, metropolitan secretary, archpriest Teodor Tihon, confessor of Chisinau Sector 1 church circumscription, archpriest Vecislav Cazacu, Dean of Straseni district, archpriest Alexandru Iamandi, confessor of Straseni church circumscription, archpriest Victor Plesca, the treasurer of the Metropolitan department, priest Eugen Burlac, parish rector, other clergy.

    During the Divine Liturgy, Metropolitan Vladimir awarded to priest Eugen Burlac the right to wear Palitsa, in sign of appreciation of pastoral and missionary service.

    After the Communion with the Body and Blood of Christ, and the dismissal prayer of the Divine Liturgy, a Panichida service was officiated for the commemoration of late Archpriest Ioan Burlac, who had been parish rector for 28 years in Zubresti community.

    Metropolitan Vladimir thanked all ctitors who supported the renovation of the parish church, mentioning that such acts are projected into the future, leaving an inspiring message for the coming generations.

    The metropolitan then distributed small gifts to the children present at the service: prayer books and icons, wishing them blessed growing and spiritual ascension.

    Liturgical responses were provided by the Child Choir of the Metropolitan Cathedral conducted by priest’s wife Teodora Burlac.
