  • His Eminence Vladimir consecrated the church of Reverend Sergius of Radonezh in the parish of Reverend Parascheva in Botanica sector, Chisinau

    His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir of Chisinau and all Moldova consecrated on Saturday 29 October 2022 the Church of St. Sergius of Radonezh in the parish of Reverend Parascheva in Botanica sector, Chisinau.

    The hierarch was greeted with utmost joy in the morning by the parish rector, Fr. Serghei Cires, his family, and the parishioners.

    The Divine Service started with the consecration of the Holy Table in the sanctuary of the church.

    Praying with His Eminence Vladimir were Archpriest Pavel Borsevschi, Dean of Sector 2 (Botanica) district, Archpriest Serghei Cires, parish rector, Archimandrite Paisie (Cecan), superior monk of the Monastery of Noul Neamt, Archimandrite Nicolae (Rosca), Confessor and Administrator of the Monastery of Ciuflea, Archimandrite Andrei (Cotruta), Confessor of Hagimus Monastery, and numerous priests and deacons invited to participate in the Divine Liturgy.

    During the Small Entrance of the Liturgy, Archpriest Serghei was awarded the Metropolitan Order of Holy And Right-Faithful Prince Stephan the Great, in sign of appreciation of the assiduous work in the consolidation of the parish.

    This was the first arch-pastoral liturgy in this parish, during which Metropolitan Vladimir officiated two ordinations: deacon Andrei Enachi was ordained priest and appointed to the diocesan cathedral of the Dormition of the Mother of God in Soroca, and subdeacon Igor Coada received diaconal ordination with appointment to the mentioned parish.

    Thanks-giving Te-Deum Laudamus service followed, after which His Eminence Vladimir addressed a message of congratulation to the parishioners and guests present at the service.

    In his turn, the parish rector thanked the hierarch for prayers and the joy of arch-pastoral liturgy on the after-feast of the Patron Saint of St. Parascheva church.

    The Metropolitan awarded church distinctions to a number of parish ctitors. Numerous participants received icons and prayer books in the memory of the day.

    Metropolitan Vladimir of Chisinau and all Moldova laid the foundation stone of this church on 17 June 1999.
