On the Saturday of the first week of Great Lent, when the Orthodox Church celebrates the feast of St. Theodore of Tyre, Metropolitan Vladimir presided the celebration of Divine Liturgy in the Monastery of Ciuflea.
Archpriest Anatolie of Cahul and Comrat concelebrated to Metropolitan Vladimir during the divine service.
The arch-pastors were assisted by archimandrite Nicolae (Rosca), spiritual administrator of St. Theodore Monastery of Ciuflea, and numerous priests and deacons of the holy place.
Liturgical responses during the service were provided by the choir of Ciuflea Monastery directed by Olga Ghetiu.
Following a report of archimandrite Nicolae (Rosca), Metropolitan Vladimir awarded church distinctions to archpriest Rodion Severin, who was conferred the right of celebrating Divine Liturgy with the Holy Doors open till the Lord’s Prayer, and to priest Boris Balan, who received the right of wearing pectoral cross embellished with jewels.
During the Liturgy, Metropolitan Vladimir ordained subdeacon Anatolie Juraveli into the dignity of deacon.
After the holy service, His Eminence Vladimir addressed a message of arch-pastoral guidance to the liturgical community and greeted archimandrite Nicolae, who received the name of Theodore upon baptismal.
Metropolitan Vladimir spoke about the life and glory of St. Theodore of Tyre, the Patron Saint of the Monastery of Ciuflea.
