26 November 2023, His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir, the First Hierarch of the Orthodox Church of Moldova, consecrated on the 25th Sunday after the Pentecost the new church dedicated to Blessed Matrona in Sector III church circumscription of Chisinau.
The divine service began with the consecration of the Holy Table. Praying with His Eminence Vladimir were protopriest Zosima Toia, Dean of the Sector III Church Circumscription of Chisinau, Fr. Petru Boian, parish priest, numerous priests and deacons, and the faithful of the community.
During the Small Entrance, Father Petru Boian was decorated by the Metropolitan with the right to wear a pallium, a cross with precious stones and was promoted to the rank of Protopriest for his diligent work in building up the holy place for the good and prosperity of the Orthodox Church of Moldova.
After the liturgy, a thanksgiving Te-Deum was officiated, and then the Arch-pastor congratulated those present on the occasion of the consecration of the holy place and significant event in the life of the community.
Metropolitan Vladimir wished all those present to keep the flame of faith vivid in their souls and to spread the light of Christ’s teaching by their own example.
The hierarch decorated some of the community’s most prominent ctitors for their faithful work in building the holy place.
