  • His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir consecrated the exterior of Chistelnita Monastery

On September 7, 2023, the monastic community and the parishioners of the Monastery “Synaxis of Holy Archangels” from Chiștelnița, Telenești, received the visit of His Eminence Vladimir, Metropolitan of Chisinau and all Moldova, who officiated the consecration of the exterior of the Church and the Divine Liturgy.

Praying with the First Hierarch of the Orthodox Church of Moldova were: Archimandrite Seraphim (Prinos), abbot of the monastery, Archpriest Marian Boldescu, Dean of Telenesti Church District, and numerous priests and deacons together with the local church-goers.

Liturgical responses were offered by the choir “Gnosis”.

During the Small Entrance, His Eminence decorated the abbot with the order of St. Seraphim Ciceagov of the first degree.

At the end of the Liturgy a cross procession around the church followed, and a Thanksgiving Te-Deum Laudamus service with litanies expressing gratefulness for the help received from the Good Lord in the work accomplished.

“We congratulate all the faithful of this parish, hard-working and dynamic, enlightened by faith and prayer, under the protection of the Holy Archangels, who, although the monastery had suffered a fire that destroyed a good part of it, now enjoys a major renovation so that any parishioner or pilgrim has a place to bow his head in prayer,” said the Metropolitan.

After the Te-Deum service, Archimandrite Seraphim thanked the Hierarch for his arch-pastoral ministry and for the goodwill and paternal love he always has for the Orthodox Church and its Christians.

At the end of today’s divine service, the Arch-pastor presented each participant with an icon as a sign of spiritual growth and remembrance of this historic event for the Holy Monastery and the community of Chiștelnița.
