Saturday, 28 July 2018, on the Feast of St. Vladimir, equal to the apostles and Christener of Russia, the first hierarch of the Orthodox Church of Moldova, Metropolitan Vladimir, celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Metropolitan Cathedral in Chisinau.
Concelebrating to the metropolitan were Vicar Bishop Ioan of Soroca and Vicar Bishop Siluan of Orhei, assisted by the Cathedral Dean, archpriest Vadim Cheibas, and a synaxis of priests and deacosn. Numerous clergy arrived from parishes and monasteries from Moldova and abroad, to share prayers with the first hierarch, on the feast of his heavenly protector.
Numerous church-goers came to pray and congratulate their arch-pastor on the Patron’s day.
After the Liturgy, His Grace Bishop Ioan delivered a message of congratulation on behalf the Synaxis of Bishops of the Metropolis of Moldova. Archpriest Vadim Cheibas also congratulated the hierarch, on behalf of the Cathedral clergy and parishioners, wishing salvation, long live, and strengths to Metropolitan Vladimir, in the mission of the arch-pastoral guidance of the entrusted faithful flock.
Metropolitan Vladimir thanked to the synaxis of bishops, priests, deacons, and lay Christians, for warm congratulations and prayers on the day, when the Orthodox Christians celebrate the Feast of the Right-Faithful Prince Vladimir, equal to the Apostles.
