  • His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir celebrated Divine Service in the Monastery of Hirova

    Thursday, 14 September, on the feast of St. Symeon Stylites, His Eminence Metropolitan Vadimir celebrated the Divine Liturgy on the Patron’s Feast in the St. Symeon Stylites Monastery in the village of Nicolaeuca, Orhei region.

    Numerous pilgrims gathered in the holy settlement to celebrate the Patron’s Feast along with the monastic inhabitants and priests.

    During the Divine Liturgy, Metropolitan Vladimir ordained hierodeacon Spiridon (Pahom) into the dignity of hieromonk.

    In sign of the archpastor’s high appreciation of the care and efforts for the prosperity of monastic living in the monastery of Hirova, Metropolitan Vladimir granted to Archimandrite Irinarh (Rusu), the Confessor-administrator of the Monastery, the right of wearing crozier. The metropolitan also appointed most reverend mother Macrina (Dontu) into the dignity of Nun-superior of the Monastery of Hirova.

    A Thanks-giving service followed after the Divine Liturgy, and Metropolitan Vladimir addressed a message of arch-pastoral guidance and congratulation to the praying community:

    “Today, when faith in God is under attack from various sources, we must love pure truth granted to us by God, and we need to make all efforts to determine others to share the saving truth. There is so much suffering around us, that is why we should be merciful with those in need, soothing their paint with our good acts”, said His Eminence Vladimir.

    Father Irinarh thanked the Arch-pastor on behalf of the monastic community and pilgrims gathered at the service, for spiritual support and sharing the joy of Holy Communion.

    In the end, Metropolitan Vladimir distributed to all those present at the Feast icons with Blessed Agafia, as memory of this Divine Liturgy and bright holiday.
