The 5th of February was the last day of the assembly of the Bishops’ Council of the Russian Orthodox Church, where His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir participated among other members.
The event began with Divine Service celebrated by His Eminence Patriarch Kirill at Christ the Savior Cathedral, after which the plenum went on to hear the reports and examine the documents included into the assembly agenda.
His Eminence Metropolitan Daniel of Tokyo and Japan thanked His Holiness Patriarch Kirill for the support provided by the entire Russian Orthodox Church (ROC) for the restoration of the church buildings on the territory of Japan, affected by natural calamities within the last two years.
Then the chairman of the administrative secretariat of the Russian Patriarchy, His Grace Bishop Sergy of Solnechnogorsk presented to the archpastors the new decorations of the ROC, that were approved after examination.
Following the planned sessions, the Bishops’ Council closed with a thanks-giving prayer for the help and illumination.
