Thursday, 2 June 2022, on the Feast of the Ascension of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, numerous church-goers arrived in the Holy Trinity Monastery in Glinjeni village, Falesti region, to participate in the divine Liturgy officiated by a synaxis of arch-pastors and priests.
Thus, early morning, Mother Anastasia, the Superior Nun of the settlement, together with the monastic community, greeted Metropolitan Vladimir of Chisinau and all Moldova who arrived to share the joy of the feast.
Metropolitan Vladimir conducted the service of the Liturgy, praying together with His Eminence Marchel, Archbishop of Balti and Falesti, Vicar Bishops Ioan of Soroca and Siluan of Orhei. The arch-pastors were assisted by archpriest Vadim Cheibas, Metropolitan Secretary, and a synaxis of priests and deacons from various dioceses of the Metropolis of Moldova.
In the presence of a multitude of Christians during the Liturgy, Metropolitan Vladimir rewarded Egumeness Anastasia, the Superior Nun of the Monastery, with the 2nd category Church Order Blessed Agafia of Cuselauca.
A number of officials including Mr. Sergiu Fintina, President of Falesti region, Mr. Vasile Misnei, Interim Mayor of Glinjeni village, were present at the celebration.
After the Liturgy, thanks-giving Litany was officiated, and Metropolitan Vladimir addressed a message of pastoral guidance to the liturgical community.
The metropolitan talked about the significance of the Feast of the Ascension of the Lord, and then thanked Mother Anastasia for the care of the community.
The hegumeness thanked His Eminence and the entire liturgical community for the prayers and support.
Mr. Sergiu Fintina, President of Falesti region, presented Metropolitan Vladimir with the book Churches and Monasteries of Falesti region in the light and mist of times.
