With the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir of Chisinau and All Moldova, the Divine Liturgy on the 35th Sunday after the Pentecost was celebrated at the Metropolitan Cathedral by His Grace Ioan, Bishop of Soroca and Vicar of the Metropolis of Moldova.
Bishop Ioan was assisted at the Service by Soroca diocese dean, mitred archpriest Nicolae Cravet and the clergy of the Metropolitan Cathedral.
Numerous church-goers were present at the Divine Service, gathered in the holy site to thank God for His gifts and to pray for peace of the living and for repose of the dead.
After the guidance word on the day’s Gospel reading, H.G. Ioan communicated to the believers the message of His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir, who is currently visiting Moscow to participate in the sessions of the Bishops Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church on 1-2 February.
