On the night of 16-17 July 2018, commemorating a century since the murder of the family of the last Russian Tsar Nikolay II and his family, Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and all Russia celebrated the Divine Litury in front of the memorial church of All Russian Saints, also called the Church on the Blood in Yekaterinburg.
The church is built on the place of Ipatyev’s house, where the family of holy Tsar Nikolay and their devoted friends and servants were assassinated.
Patriarch Kirill was assisted during the Liturgy by the synaxis of arch-pastors of the Russian Orthodox Church, including Metropolitan Vladimir of Chisinau and all Moldova.
After the Liturgy, Patriarch Kirill conducted a Cross Procession that gathered around one hundred thousand Christians, following from the All Saints Church in Yekaterinburg to the Monastery at Ganina Yama, where the bodies of the royal martyr family members were hidden.
