With the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir, a range of initiatives of the Church are planned, preparing for the International Day of Children
A work meeting was held today at the Municipal Department for Child’s Rights Protection, to set up the holiday agenda, including cultural events for children in the square of the Nativity of the Lord Cathedral.
The Metropolitan Administration was represented by Arcpr. Octavian Mosin, Deacon Mihail Borta, and Mrs. Tatiana Plucci.
It was decided that the Metropolis of Moldova will cover expenses for the organization of pilgrimage to a number of monasteries for 50 children from socially-vulnerable families. The Metropolis was presented a list of 100 bed-ridden children, who will be visited by priests and social workers of the Child’s Day. Besides, the Church intends to distribute 1500 sets of presents – crosses, icons, prayer books, among the children who will come to the event and those who will be visited at home.
