  • Archpastoral visit to Budai, Telenesti: Metropolitan Vladimir sanctified the parish’s winter chapel of Three Hierarchs

     

    Saturday 12 February 2022, on the Feast of the Holy Hierarchs Basil the Great, Gregory Theologian, and John Chrysostom, Metropolitan Vladimir of Chisinau and all Moldova celebrated Divine Liturgy in the Parish of Archangels Michael and Gabriel in Budai community, Telenesti region.

    The Parish Rector, Archpriest Valeriu Petrari, together with the family and church-goers, welcomed Metropolitan Vladimir at the entrance into the church-yard, inviting the hierarch to celebrate the Divine Liturgy.

    His Eminence Vladimir was assisted at the service by archpriest Vadim Cheibas, Metropolitan Secretary, archpriest Marian Boldescu, Dean of Telenesti church circumscription, archpriest Valeriu Petrari, parish rector, and numerous priests and deacons from the district.

    During the Small Entrance, archpriest Valeriu Petrari received high metropolitan distinction – the right of wearing Pectoral Cross with jewels and the right of celebrating the Divine Liturgy with the Holy Doors open till the Cherubim Hymn. Numerous clergymen of the circumscription were also awarded church distinctions in sign of the arch-pastor’s appreciation of their pastoral activity.

    The liturgical responses at the service were provided by the choir of St. Elias Monastery of Nicoreni, directed by archpriest Alexei Scutaru.

    Present at the celebrations were Mrs. Mariana Ombun, Head of Telenesti region, Mr. Victor Draganu, mayor of Buday community, who prayed together with the parishioners.

    Metropolitan Vladimir officiated two ordinations: Deacon Veaceslav Botea was ordained priest and appointed to ministry in the church of All Saints Who Shone in the Lands of Moldova (Chisinau), and subdeacon Dumitru Paduret received diaconal ordination.

    After the Liturgy, the Thanks-Giving prayers were uttered in the main church of the Parish of Archangels Michael and Gabriel.

    Metropolitan Vladimir congratulated Fr. Valeriu Petrari on the feast, highly appreciating the pastoral and administrative efforts of the parish rector. The hierarch addressed a message of greeting and congratulation to the parishioners, thanking them for their involvement and support of all parish activities. Numerous parish benefactors received church distinctions and awards.

    Finally, the arch-pastor offered prayer books to all those present, in the commemoration of this outstanding event.

    Upon the report of the parish rector, Metropolitan Vladimir offered wheelchairs and other items to persons with disabilities and those in socially vulnerable situation.
