His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir consecrated on Saturday, 4th November 2017, the newly-painted church in the honour of Holy Prophet Elias in Telenesti town.
Thus, the hierarch was greeted cordially by the parish rector, archpriest Vasile Turcanu, a priest who is very dedicated to his ministry.
After the consecration service, the Metropolitan conducted the Divine Liturgy, assisted by a synax of priests and deacons, who prayed together with numerous parishioners and parish guests, gathered for this purpose at the Divine Service.
In sign of the arch-pastor’s appreciation of restless efforts and devotion to church service during 35 years, and for good administration of the parish, fr. Vasile was rewarded by the Metropolitan with a high church distinction – the right to celebrate the Divine Liturgy with the Holy Doors open till the Lord’s Prayer.
Further on, Metropolitan Vladimir handed arch-pastoral diplomas to the ctitors of this holy shrine, thanking them for their support and care of their parish, and appreciating their united efforts supporting the parish rector in the good administration and embellishment of the church.
Archpriest Vasile thanked Metropolitan Vladimir, underlining that all their efforts are to the glory of God, and all they do is just a holy duty of any church-goer.
The liturgical responses during this Divine Liturgy were provided by the church choir “Gnosis”, conducted by Sergiu Crudu.
