  • Arch-pastoral service on the Sunday before the Exaltation of the Holy Cross: Metropolitan Vladimir prayed in the middle of the community of Holy Great-Martyr Demetrius monastery in Pripceni-Curchi, Rezina region

    Sunday, 26 September, Metropolitan Vladimir of Chisinau and all Moldova visited the monastery of Pripceni-Curchi, Rezina region, to celebrate the Divine Liturgy on the day before the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross.

    Archimandrite Ioan (Hanganu), the superior monk of the monastic community, Archimandrite Filaret (Cuzmin), the superior monk of Capriana monastery, Archimandrite Ioan (Danilescu), Secretary of Archbishop Sava of Tiraspol and Dubasari, and numerous other priests and deacons, concelebrated to the first hierarch of the Moldovan Church.

    During the Small Entrance, Metropolitan Vladimir made the following awards:

    Hegumeness Filoteea (Railean) –II degree Order of Venerable Parascheva;

    Archimandrite Ioan (Hanganu) – the right of celebrating the Divine Liturgy with the Holy Doors open till the Lord’s Prayer, and II degree Order of Holy Hierarch Gavriil Banulescu-Bodoni;

    Hieromonk Ciprian (Carpov) – the right of celebrating the Divine Liturgy with the Holy Doors open till the Cherubim Hymn;

    Hieromonk Andrei (Solcan) – the right of wearing Gold Pectoral Cross;

    Hierodeacon Alexei (Stratu) – the right of wearing the double Orarion.

    During the Liturgy, His Eminence Vladimir officiated diaconal ordination of subdeacon Vladislav Stirbu, graduate student of the Theological Academy of Chisinau.

    The Divine Service ended with a Cross procession around the church of the monastery, with Gospel Readings and Hymns.

    Thanks-giving prayers were uttered to the Holy Trinity and all Saints.

    After the service, Metropolitan Vladimir consecrated and blessed the recently refurbished canteen of the Monastery and a well that was dug on the territory of the monastery.

    Archimandrite Ioan and Hegumeness Filoteea thanked His Eminence for the celebration of the Divine Liturgy and arch-pastoral blessings of this monastic settlement in the heart of the Orthodox Church of Moldova.
