  • Parisioners of St. Nicolas church  of Cusmirca village, in Soldanesti raion, had a joyful holiday, welcoming His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir, who celebrated the Divine Liturgy in their worship site.

The Arch-pastoral service was celebrated to culminate the renovation of the church. During the service, the parish rector, Mitred Archpriest Ioan Motinga, was rewarded with a high church distinction – the right to celebrate the Divine Liturgy with the Holy Doors open till the Cherubim’s song. Priests from Soldanesti church circumscription were also rewarded with important church distinctions, in sign of appreciation of their efforts for the glory and prosperity of  Orthodox Church of Moldova.

This was a very special Liturgy for Eugen Pozdirca, who was ordained deacon. Deacon Eugen heartily thanked His Eminence Vladimir for being entrusted this high spiritual mission, and said that he is ready to devote his earthly life to serving the Lord for the salvation of the believers.

After Liturgy the priests, headed by His Eminence Vladimir and followed by numerous parishioners, engaged in a procession around the church, with Gospels readings, and later the Archpastor served a Te-Deum, thanking the Lord for this Divine Liturgy and praying for the blessing of all Christians who contributed to the renovation of the holy shrine.

The Archpastor congratulated all believers present at this outstanding event, mentioning that this service celebrated a beautiful result of unity and collaboration between people, which materialized in the restoration of the church’s original beauty. His Eminence highly appreciated Fr. Ioan’s efforts for the achievement of this goal, hoping that the rector will continue, along with the parishioners, to work with the same devotion and diligence. The Hierarch also was pleased that so many children came to the church, and advised them to study religion at school and attend each Sunday’s and Holidays’ Service, to pray to Lord for help and blessing, to grow up in happiness and protected from danger.

In the end, His Eminence distributed icons and prayer books to the parishioners.
