His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir of Chisinau and all Moldova visited the Monastery of the Dormition of the Mother of God on the 20th Sunday after Pentecost, 30 October 2022, to celebrate the Divine Liturgy marking the 30th anniversary after the re-opening of the holy place.
During the Divine Service officiated in the sanctuary of St. Nicholas winter church of the monastic settlement, the first hierarch of the Moldovan Church prayed together with Archbishop Sava of Tiraspol and Dubasari, Archbishop Anatoly of Cahul and Comrat, Archpriest Vadim Cheibas, Metropolitan Secretary, Archimandrite Irinarh (Costru), the superior monk of Tiganesti Monastery, Archimandrite Ioan (Danilescu), Secretary of His Eminence Sava, Archimandrite Vladimir (Poia), superior monk of Butuceni Monastery, Archimandrite Spiridon (Marin), superior monk of Hirbovat Monastery, Archpriest Pavel Vuluta, Dean of Drochia church circumscription, and numerous other clerics.
Praying together with the pilgrims and guests were Mother Elisabeta (Vasilache), Superior Nun of St. Peter and Paul Monastery in Bender, Mother Vera (Spinei), Superior Nun of the Dormition of the Mother of God monastery in Cuselauca.
The liturgical responses during the service were provided by the choir of Tiganesti Monastery conducted by Mr. Vitalie Chitoraga.
During the Small Entrance, Metropolitan Vladimir awarded the Second Category Order of Holy Hierarch Gavriil Banulescu-Bodoni to Archimandrite Irinarh. Church distinctions were also conferred to other clerics of the Monastery.
The arch-pastor officiated diaconal ordination of monk Ignatie (Blinov), inhabitant of the monastery.
After the Divine Liturgy, Metropolitan Vladimir and the con-celebrating clergy officiated Te-Deum Laudamus Litany, giving thanks and glory to God, after which the first hierarch addressed a message of greeting and congratulation to the monastics and pilgrims.
Addressing a message of congratulation to the monastic inhabitants, Mrs. Valentina Taca, the mayor of Tiganesti Community, conferred to Archimandrite Irinarh the title of Honourable Citizen of Tiganesti Community.
Metropolitan Vladimir awarded church distinctions to a group of ctitors and benefactors of the Holy Monastery.
