  • The Vicar Bishops, His Grace Siluan of Orhei and His Grace Filaret of Căpriana, participated in the Feast of Saint Blessed Agafia of Cușelăuca

    On the Second Sunday after Pentecost, 22 June 2025, the commemoration of Blessed Agafia of Cușelăuca, with the blessing of His Eminence Vladimir, Metropolitan of Chișinău and All Moldova, the Vicar Bishops, His Grace Siluan of Orhei and His Grace Filaret of Căpriana, joined in the Divine Liturgy with His Eminence Ioan, Archbishop of Soroca and Drochia, at the Monastery of the Dormition of the Mother of God in Cușelăuca, Șoldănești District.

    The hierarchs were warmly welcomed for the festive service by Mother Vera (Spinei), the Abbess of the monastery. Among the concelebrating clergy were: Archpriest Petru Spinei, spiritual father of the monastic community, Archpriest Nicolae Craveț, secretary of the Diocese of Soroca and Drochia, abbots, deans, priests and deacons from various localities.

    The liturgical responses were chanted by the “Saint John of Damascus” Choir of the Hierarchical Cathedral of the Dormition in Soroca, conducted by Protodeacon Mihail Rotari.

    During the Divine Liturgy, prayers were uttered for peace in Ukraine, in our country, and throughout the world.

    The joy of the feast was shared by numerous pilgrims from Moldova, Romania, Ukraine, and other countries.

    Following the Te Deum and veneration of the holy relics of Blessed Agafia, His Eminence Ioan delivered a homily and conveyed the message of congratulation from His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir, the Primate of the Orthodox Church of Moldova.

    Mother Abbess Vera extended her congratulations to all those present, expressing gratitude for their participation and for the devotion shown to Saint Agafia.
