On the 6th Sunday after Holy Pascha, the Sunday commemorating the Healing of the Blind-born man, the First Hierarch of the Orthodox Church of Moldova celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Nativity of the Lord Cathedral in Chisinau.
Today’s Gospel Reading describes the healing by the Lord of a man born blind. Many people wondered: “Who can heal a blind-born man?” Truly, this can be done only by Son of God, not a simple man, not merely a prophet, but only Son of God. Holy Apostle John underlines this while relating this passage.
With the blessing of the hierarch, Archpriest Vadim Chiebas delivered a message of pastoral guidance related to the Gospel Reading, saying that one of the meanings of this act is bringing God’s Light into the lives and souls of all people.
Liturgical responses during the service were provided by the Cathedral’s mixt choir conducted by Choir Director Angela Angheni.
