Wednesday, 8 August 2018, President of the Republic of Moldova, Mr. Igor Dodon, awarded state distinctions to a group of clergy of the Orthodox Church of Moldova at the State Residence.
In appreciation of the merits in the spiritual and moral revival of the society, contribution to the promotion of Orthodox Christian values, and intensive activity during the year of St. Stephan the Great, Prince of Moldova, Vicar Bishops of the Metropolis of Moldova, H.G. Ioan of Soroca and H.G. Siluan of Orhei, were awarded the State Order “Glory of Labour”. Other presidential Orders and Medals were awarded to a number of clergy of the Orthodox Church of Moldova.
The distinctions were awarded in a solemn atmosphere at the State Residence of the President of the Republic of Moldova, to a group of distinguished persons, including priests, military, doctors, and representatives of the civil society.
