On the 24th November, the feast of Holy Martyrs Menas, Victor, and Vincent, with the blessing of His Eminence Vladimir, Metropolitan of Chisinau and All Moldova, His Grace John, Bishop of Soroca and Vicar of the Metropolis of Moldova celebrated the Holy Table Consecration service and the Divine Liturgy in the Nativity of the Theotokos church in Stefanesti village, Floresti district. The bishop was assisted by the Archpriest Ilie Munteanu, dean of Floresti district, and clerics from the circumscription, who officiated the service in the presence of numerous church-goers who came to share the spiritual joy of the day.
During the small entrance, the rector of the church, archpriest Igor Solonaru, was awarded the dignity of celebrating Divine Liturgy with the Holy Doors open till the Cherubim hymn, and priest Vitalie Soimu, a cleric of Soroca church circumscription, was promoted to the dignity of archpriest.
Rendering to all those present the message of the First Hierarch, HG John handed a jubilee metropolitan medal to Mr. Simion Zdragus, the mayor of the community, and distributed icons of Holy Great-Martyr Menas to the children present at the service.
