On the occasion of its renovation, one of the oldest churches of Chisinau, the Holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Constantine and Elena Church welcomed today its parishioners and guests to participate in the Divine Liturgy celebrated by His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir.
This beautiful event brought so many church-goers to the St. Constantine and Elena Holy Shrine, that there was hardly enough room inside the church for all believers – who came to share the spiritual joy with the Hierarch and the clergy.
During the Divine Liturgy, the clergyman Mitred Archpriest Vitalie Rosca was rewarded with the right to celebrate the Divine Liturgy with the Holy Doors open till the prayer Our Father, the Mitred Archpriest Agafonic Potoroaca was rewarded with the Church Merit order, and Fr. Fiodor Jecu was rewarded with the St. Rev. Paisy Velichkovsky medal.
This service was totally special for Octavian Rosca, graduate of the Orthodox Theology Academy of Moldova, who was ordained deacon. On this God-blessed occasion, His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir wished the young deacon to perform his sacred ministry with dignity, faith, and devotion, for the glory of the All-Merciful God.
After the Liturgy and Te-Deum service was celebrated, following which the Metropolitan addressed a message of congratulation to the community, wishing to all that the Holy Archangels Michael and Gabriel and all Heavenly powers be fervent prayers and cast heavenly protection on us all. His Eminence also said that the renovation of the Holy Shrine is another proof of unity and love of holiness, expressed by the parish rector and his flock, and wished the believers to continue their deeds with the same zeal and devotion.
In his turn, Fr. Vitalie Rosca thanked the Hierarch for pastoral care and strengthening words, mentioning that with the mercy of the Lord and support of the church-goers, they will continue to make efforts, for the good and prosperity of Orthodoxy in Moldova.
