His Eminence Vladimir, Primate of the Orthodox Church of Moldova, participated on Wednesday, 11 October 2023, in the work of the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church.
The event, presided by His Holiness Kirill, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, took place at the Patriarchal and Synodal Residence of St. Daniel Monastery in Moscow.
The Synod addressed various aspects of ecclesiastical life, including the activities and events of the previous quarter.
During the meeting, our compatriot Archimandrite Filaret (Cuzmin), abbot of the monastery dedicated to “The Assumption of the Mother of God” in the village of Căpriana, r. Strășeni, was elected bishop of Căpriana, vicar of the Diocese of Chișinău, (Minutes no. 97).
