02 June 2023, the Fourth Sunday after the Pentecost (on the healing of the servant of the centurion), Metropolitan Vladimir of Chisinau and all Moldova officiated the Divine Liturgy in the Nativity of the Lord Cathedral in Chisinau.
The arch-pastor was assisted at the service by archpriest Vadim Cheibas, Metropolitan Secretary and Cathedral Dean, and an assembly of priests and deacons of the holy place.
After the Lord’s Prayer, Metropolitan Vladimir blessed archpriest Vadim to address a message of pastoral guidance to the praying community, explaining the Gospel Reading about the healing of the servant of the Roman centurion in Capernaum. In his discourse, Fr. Vadim Cheibas underlined that only through faith and acts of goodness can we enter the Heavenly Kingdom.
Faith is essential for salvation, through faith we receive the divine gifts, through faith Christ offers Himself to us, and our role is to answer His call and collaborate with Him. Faith is in itself a gift from God, and it is not possible without the call of Christ, Who is the source of faith, but it depends on us to answer this call and move towards God.
Following the example of faith of the centurion, who prayed for the healing of his servant, let us witness Christ the Saviour as God and Master of our life, and speak about all good that God offers to us through our Saviour Jesus Christ.
Having listened to the message of spiritual guidance, numerous church-goers present at the service communed in the Holy Eucharist, praising and blessing God.
