Today, when the Orthodox Church celebrates the Nativity of the Holy Glorious Prophet, Forerunner and Baptist John, His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Nativity of the Lord Cathedral in Chisinau.
Concelebrating to the Metropolitan were His Grace Vicar Bishop Ioan of Soroca, Archpriest Vadim Cheibas, the Metropolitan Secretary and Cathedral Dean, and the clergy of the Cathedral.
Numerous church-goers communed with the Holy Body and Blood of Christ, sharing the prayers and the joy of the Divine Liturgy.
On behalf of the praying community, Metropolitan Vladimir congratulated Bishop Ioan on the Feast of his Heavenly Protector, wishing long and blessed life in the service of our Lord Jesus Christ, following the example of His Most Glorious Prophet and Forerunner John.
