12 January, 2020, Sunday after the Nativity of the Lord: Metropolitan Vladimir of Chisinau and Moldova visited the parish of the Ascension of the Lord (Sf. Vineri) in Chisinau to celebrate the Divine Liturgy.
The arch-pastor was assisted at the service by archpriest Vadim Cheibas, Metropolitan Secretary, archpriest Sorin Mihai, and archpriest Serghei Putintica, clerics of the holy shrine.
Numerous church-goers came to share the liturgical joy of the day.
At the end of the Divine Service, Metropolitan Vladimir officiated a Litany for the commemoration of late Archimandrite Hrisostomos (Panas), who had been the rector of the parish for over thirty yeas.
The metropolitan then talked about Fr. Hrisostomos’ prolific pastoral activity, calling the grace and mercy of God over the bereft family of the recently reposed pastor.
Before the dismissal of the liturgical service, numerous children who participated in the service received gifts from the arch-pastor.
