With the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir, Primate of the Orthodox Church of Moldova, on Monday, December 2, His Eminence Metropolitan Vichentie of Tashkent and Uzbekistan celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Dormition of the Mother of God Monastery in Căpriana.
His Eminence was joined at the service by His Grace Filaret, Bishop of Căpriana and Abbot of the Monastery; Archimandrite Irinarh, Abbot of Țigănești Monastery; Protopriest Victor Mihalache, Dean of the Strășeni District; and a group of priests and deacons from the local ecclesiastical jurisdiction.
In his pastoral message at the conclusion of the service, His Eminence expressed gratitude to Bishop Filaret for today’s Eucharistic celebration and the warm welcome. He wished the entire monastic community and the faithful who visit this spiritual haven God’s help throughout their lives, guiding them toward good deeds and spiritual salvation.
In turn, His Grace Bishop Filaret thanked Metropolitan Vichentie for presiding over the service, for his holy prayers offered to God for this country and its faithful people. As a token of gratitude and to commemorate the occasion, Bishop Filaret presented Metropolitan Vichentie with an Engolpion.
