His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir officiated the Panichida service to commemorate the Right-Reverend Father Archimandrite Ermoghen (Adam), who reposed in the Lord on Wednesday, 27th November.
The Metropolitan talked to the seminarists, students, and lectures of the Orthodox Theology Academy of Moldova, as well as to all those who had come to pray for the memory eternal of this kind servant of God. In his message, His Eminence mentioned the immense heritage that Father Ermogen left to the generations of Orthodox Christians. The Metropolitan referred also to the hardships that Archimandrite Ermogen experienced during the years of persecution of the Faith, and spoke about endless merits and contribution of Father Ermogen for the theological education in our country.
His Eminence Vladimir urged all church-goers to pray for the repose in the Lord of the ever-worthy of commemoration Archimandrite, and to continue the God-pleasing work started by Father Ermogen, to the glory of the Lord and salvation of our souls.
We inform our readers that Father Ermogen’s body will stay in the Chapel of the OrthodoxTheologicalAcademy till tomorrow afternoon, and then will be taken in a procession to the Holy Great-Martyr Theodore of Tyre (Ciuflea) Monastery, where the funeral service will be officiated at 12.00
May the Lord rest Father Ermogen in His Heavenly Kingdom!
