12 July 2023, on the Feast day of Holy Apostles Peter and Paul, with the blessing of His Eminence Vladimir, Metropolitan of Chisinau and all Moldova, and His Eminence Nestor, Metropolitan of Korsun and Western Europe, Vicar Bishop Ioan of Soroca and Bishop Petru of Caffa met in the parish of Holy Apostles Peter and Paul in Evora, Portugal, to celebrate Divine Liturgy.
Participating in service were archpriest Ioan Gherbovețchi, dean of churches in Portugal, archpriest Nicolae Craveț, secretary of Vicariate of Soroca, archpriest Oleg Chiaburu, the host parish rector, archpriest Vadim Patrinica, rector of St. Mercurios church in Madrid, Spain, and other priests from Portugal, who prayed among the parishioners and guests arrived from other communities.
After the Divine Service, Bishop Ioan congratulated His Grace Petru on the feast of Apostles Peter and Paul, thanking him for the invitation and hospitality.
In his turn, His Grace Petru thanked His Grace Ioan for prayers and blessings brought from Metropolitan Vladimir, appreciating the care for the believers from Moldovan diaspora.
