Sunday, 12 September 2021, on the feast of the translation of the relics of Holy and Right-Faithful Knyaz Alexander Nevsky, national and church celebrations took place in the Alexander Nevsky Lavra in St. Petersburg, Russia, marking the 800th anniversary of the saint.
The First Hierarch of the Orthodox Church of Moldova, His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir, participated in the Divine Liturgy in the Lavra, headed by His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and all Russia.
Patriarch Kirill celebrated the 50th anniversary of promotion in the dignity of archimandrite on the day of the commemoration of St. Alexander Nevsky.
